On 20 August 1976, Randeep opened his eyes at the house of a surgeon living in Rohtak district of Haryana. The financial condition of the house was good, so his childhood went well. After completing his early studies at MNSS Boarding School in Sonepat, he first went to Delhi, then flew to Australia for higher studies. For pocket money, he worked as a waiter in a Chinese restaurant. He also did car-washing, dish-washing and became a taxi driver for survival. Randeep returned to India in 2000 and started working in an airline company in the marketing department. She also started modeling and acted in plays. Mira Nair saw him during the rehearsals of a play and after a hard struggle, his hard work finally paid off and he got an opportunity to work in the film Monsoon Wedding, released in the year 2001. It is said to be the first film of his career, after which his life changed. After Monsoon Wedding, she got a chance to work with Ram Gopal Varma. The film was successful. The film ‘D’ in the year 2005 made him popular. This film made on the character of Dawood made Randeep a star. After this Randeep went ahead and success followed him. So far Randeep has done more than 30 films and holds a special place in the hearts of his fans.
2010 was the turning point in his career when he appeared in ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai’. Then he acted in ‘Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster’, ‘Jannat 2’ and ‘Jism 2’. In 2014, she gave a stellar performance in Imtiaz Ali’s Highway. In 2016, she starred in ‘Sarbjit’, for which she received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. ‘Kick’, ‘Rang Rasiya’, ‘Ungli’, ‘Lal Rang’, ‘Sultan’ and ‘Baaghi 2’ are some of the other films where he gave strong performances.
