Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s blockbuster movie The Kashmir Files Will soon expand its global footprint as the film, which hit theaters in India on March 11, will now release in Israel on April 28.
On Wednesday, Vivek took to Twitter to share this update with his fans and followers. “On great demand, #TheKashmirFiles on 28th April ISRAEL is being released in I thank Consul General @KobbiShoshani for coming to our studio to inaugurate the poster of TKF. This is a great step forward in sharing our coming goal of fighting and promoting terrorism. Humanity,” he tweeted.
Kashmiri Pandits in the hard-hitting drama 1990 revolves around the massacre. It starred Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty and Darshan Kumar. Though the film was called out by some critics and writers for its problematic politics, it did exceptionally well at the box office, earning over Rs 330 crore.
Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri had earlier announced that he would soon start work on his second feature film, The Delhi Files. The filmmaker, whose most recent film, The Kashmir Files, was a box office success but also the subject of controversy, announced the news on Twitter.
“I thank all the people who owned #TheKashmirFiles. For the past four years, we have worked very hard with utmost sincerity and honesty. I may have spammed your TL, but it is important to make people aware of the genocide and injustice done to Kashmiri Hindus. Time for me to work on a new film (sic),” Agnihotri tweeted.
In a follow-up post, he wrote, “#TheDelhiFiles”, hinting at the title of the new film but keeping his followers guessing about the plot of the film. Despite various critics and writers criticizing the film for its questionable politics, it performed remarkably well at the box office, earning over Rs 330 crore. (with inputs from ANI)
