Mumbai: How can anyone forget Mini Mathur, who has been the face of music reality shows. Mini Mathur has been one of the early hosts of Indian reality shows, who has also tried acting today. Mini hosted six seasons of the singing reality show Indian Idol and made the public very happy with her work. Then suddenly Mini Mathur distanced herself from the show. But now Mini Mathur has finally revealed why she decided to leave the show. Mini Mathur, who has 28 years of experience in hosting TV shows, said that now the makers do not pay attention to the skills of the show host.
Not only this, Mini also made a shocking revelation during this time and told that she used to host a big TV show. But, the makers of the show replaced him citing the reason that he was heartbroken. Mini has Hindustan Times While talking to, he compared the past and present TV reality shows and said that he feels that now the makers do not look for skill in the host.
Mini Mathur said- ‘It seems that now hosts do not need any skill. Those who have a lot of followers on social media or those who have become famous in daily soaps, then just pick them and make them hosts. Just put the words in the teleprompter and the host is ready. Because these presenters are not committed to becoming hosts. Therefore, to appeal to the common people, the makers have to resort to forced spectacle.
Mini told that the hosts of her time used to connect with the reality of the human drama factor in the show, not for show but from the heart. He did not confuse the audience. Nor did they do anything artificial. Mini said- ‘We only did what a TV host is expected to do. Our connection with the contestants of the show was also real. We used to cry and be happy with them. Nothing was scripted.
Mini Mathur told that due to pregnancy she had to take a break from Indian Idol. However, after becoming a mother, she returned as a host and hosted many reality shows. She reacted to being replaced in a TV show due to pregnancy and said- ‘When I was pregnant, I was replaced for a reason which broke my heart. The producer of a big show for which I hosted several seasons told me that Indian audiences do not like to see pregnant women. This broke my heart badly.
