For the third consecutive day, there is a fierce demonstration against the new recruitment scheme ‘Agneepath’ in the army. Miscreants set fire to the Jammu Tawi-Guwahati Express train in Bihar’s Samastipur this morning. Two bogies of the train were gutted. Under this scheme of the center, youth will be recruited in the army for 4 years. This recruitment will be for the youth between the age of 17 and a half years to 21 years. Regarding this new rule, along with the opposition party, BJP MP Varun Gandhi has also raised serious questions on the government’s plan. Filmmaker Ashok Pandit has taken a jibe at Varun Gandhi for objecting to the ‘Agneepath’ scheme, after which people on social media are blaming him.
Varun Gandhi raised questions on the government’s plan: Pilibhit MP Varun Gandhi said that 75 percent of the youth recruited every year will be re-employed after four years, due to which their number will increase every year. This will further increase dissatisfaction among the youth of the country. When the industry does not show much interest in recruiting soldiers who have retired after 15 years of regular service in the army, then what will happen to the soldiers who retire after a period of only four years? Varun Gandhi further said that the Armed Forces require specialist cadre soldiers during special operations, so the years old regimental structure can be disrupted due to these soldiers having just six months of basic training.
Ashok Pandit’s response: Filmmaker Ashok Pandit has tweeted on the questions raised by Varun Gandhi on the government’s plan, calling him Shatrughan Sinha and Yashwant Sinha Part 2. With this, Ashok Pandit wrote in another tweet, ‘I wish those who put an appeal in the Supreme Court to stop the bulldozer had once appealed to the misguided youth not to lift stones, then a good message would have gone to the society.’
In another of his tweets, he has also targeted P. Chidambaram. The filmmaker writes, ‘The person who was in jail for cheating is also giving knowledge on ‘Agneepath’. After the filmmaker’s tweet, users are slamming him fiercely on social media.
Users’ Reaction: Himanshu Gupta writes, ‘You pay attention to Kashmiri Pandits, not knowledge on every issue.’ Amarjeet Singh writes, ‘If someone talks about children’s jobs, they become Shatrughan Sinha and Yashwant Sinha, you have money, so you do not worry about your children, but we care about our children, so think carefully. Speak.’ A user writes, since when has it become wrong to say right to right, sir.
Like the nine jawans of the country, all the MLAs and MPs should also be appointed only for 5 years under the Satyapath scheme! After that retirement should be given. Pension should also be stopped.
