New Delhi, July 30 (IANS)| Actress Vidya Balan, who has always enthralled the audience with her strong acting and roles, has opened up about the same. She says that every character she has played till now has educated her and changed something for her. Ever since she made her Bollywood debut with ‘Parineeta’ in 2005, Vidya has appeared in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, ‘No One Killed Jessica’, ‘The Dirty Picture’, ‘Paa’, ‘Kahaani’, ‘Ishqiya’, ‘ He has entertained fans with his dynamic portrayals in films like ‘Mission Mangal’, ‘Tumhari Sulu’ and ‘Shakuntala Devi’.
In her latest release ‘Lion’, she plays an honest forest officer who struggles with the social constraints set by a patriarchal society and the lackadaisical attitude within her department.Asked if she gains anything from her character or does it educate her in any way, Vidya told IANS: “Yes absolutely. It’s like you always have a conversation with another person. Some get back. That’s it. You live this person. Life for a month and a half or two or maybe more because you start preparing before that.”
The 42-year-old actress says it is difficult not to be impressed by a character.She concluded that, “So, I stick with the same character for about four months. So, it’s hard not to let that character affect you. I think sometimes, you can make it clear that How the characters touched your life or changed you and sometimes you can’t. For me it’s always changing.”
