Protests are taking place in many districts of Bihar regarding the ‘Agneepath scheme’ of the Modi government. Opposition parties are also criticizing this plan. Meanwhile, filmmaker Vinod Kapri has targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi by sharing a video related to the students’ protest in Jehanabad.
Vinod Kapri wrote on Twitter, “Seeing all this to Narendra Modi, who threw the children of the country on fire on the pretext of Agneepath?” He also shared a video related to the protest in UP’s Bulandshahr and wrote, ‘Narendra Modi’s new jumla could not work even for 24 hours.’
Reactions of users: Many users also started commenting on this tweet of Kapri. Jatan Thakkar wrote, “Who wants to join, don’t want to, don’t. It is not forced. Why are you working for free? Shadab Ashraf wrote, ‘I am curious, why is there no movement in UP against this? Are students scared after student protests in Allahabad, because there are many army candidates in UP as well.
Anjum Parveen wrote, “Army should be vocal and say no to this foolish Agneepath plan of PM. Playing with the future of the youth of the country should be stopped.”
Let us tell you that Vinod Kapri had earlier also written about this plan, ‘I am surprised that why the entire opposition is silent on the important issue related to national security, India’s Agniveer? 75% of 18 to 22 year olds will be unemployed at 22-26 years of age but the bigger question is, should there be an experiment of 4-4 years with Indian soldiers?’
In another tweet, he wrote that, “For only 4 years, the army again out of the army, hundreds of former army officers are shocked and upset by this decision of the government. They believe that a soldier becomes ready after years of penance. This new decision is playing with the security of the country.
What is the plan and why is the protest happening? The government has announced the launch of ‘Agneepath’ scheme for the recruitment of soldiers in the Army, Navy and Air Force. Under this scheme, 46,000 soldiers will be recruited in the three services this year. Those who join the army will be called Agniveers. The age of eligibility should be between 17.5 years to 21 years.
The youth say that with the Agneepath scheme, the spirit of service to the country and the future of the youth who have the zeal to join the army is going to go into darkness. Along with this, he says that if recruitment is done for four years, then the security of the country can also be played with.
