New Delhi. Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri’s film The Kashmir Files has achieved a new dimension by breaking all the box office records. The film did not just become a film… but became a movement. In some states, the film was even made tax free. From PM Modi to Amit Shah, the film was praised fiercely. However, the film was constantly accused of being Islamophobic. Now for the first time Vivek Agnihotri has broken the silence on the film being Islamophobic. He said that the first scene of the film has started with a positive scene of Muslim and Hindu.
The word Muslim is not in the film – Vivek
Responding to the allegation of the film being Islamophobic, Vivek said in a PC that ever since the film’s release, the media has associated him with Islamophobia. Nowhere in the film is it bad for Muslims and no violence is shown towards them. The film only and only shows terrorism. He said the matter of concern is terrorism…the word Muslim has not been used in the film. The word Pakistan or Pakistani is not used in the film. The film talks about terrorism only and only… Our film was terror phobic and not Islamophobic. Why The Kashmir Files Wasn’t Called Terror Phobic?
Those who speak against terrorism become Islamophobic: Vivek
Actually during PC, filmmaker Vivek was asked if films like Fiza etc were based on terrorism, but he was never called Islamophobic. Responding to this question, Vivek said that those who say that terrorism is wrong, they are sitting as messiahs of humanity at this time, but those who openly speak against terrorism … or talk … then you people call them Islamophobic. Vivek said that in the very first scene of the film, when some people beat up a Hindu boy Shiva, Abdul saves his life and after that Pushkar Nath saved Abdul’s life. The word Muslim is not used anywhere in the film. Even an essential producer of this film is a Muslim.
