Yami works hard to blend into the character, will be seen in ‘Tenth’ and ‘Bhoot Police’
Mumbai, (IANS)| Yami Gautam Dhar has started prepping for her role for the upcoming investigative drama ‘Lost’, which is being shot in Kolkata. The actress says language is fundamental to give a character a sense of belonging and she always tries to ensure that she gets the regional accent right. As an avid crime reporter based in the heartland of Bengal, Yami is going the extra mile by learning the language to get into the skin of her character.
Yami said, “Language is fundamental in giving a character a sense of belonging and looking real on screen. I always try to make sure that I get the regional accent or dialect right, even for a short dialogue.”
The actress said, “For ‘Lost’, I am in conversation with the Bengali crew on the sets to understand the small nuances of his speech. It is also helping me to capture the pronunciation of it for my role.” Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury is directing ‘Lost’ based on the issue of media integrity. Yami also has ‘A Thursday’, ‘Dasvi’ and ‘Bhoot Police’ in the pipeline.
