After remaining calm for some time, Corona has started showing its colors again. These days the cases of corona virus are increasing rapidly in many countries of the world. There is an outcry in China. Due to this, lockdown has been imposed in many cities. In such a situation, a new variant of the corona virus XE has knocked. The World Health Organization (WHO) has said that this new variant is 10 percent more infectious than Omicron.
This information has been given by the World Health Organization at a time when cases of corona virus are increasing in many countries of Europe along with China. Increasing cases in Britain and France are becoming a cause for concern. However, the situation in India is under control. In many states of the country, relaxation in the COVID protocol has also been given. In many places, the penalty for not wearing a mask has been removed. People are also careless about social distancing.
According to a report, the British Health Security Agency says that there are currently 3 hybrid COVID variants. In this, two variants XD and XF have arisen from the merger of Delta and BA.1. The third variant is the XE. The World Health Organization is looking at linking the XE variant to the Omicron variant itself.
The XE strain was first detected in the UK on 19 January. Since then more than 500 of its cases have been confirmed. The British agency says that not much can be said about the new variant as of now. There is not enough evidence to reach any conclusion. It is also not known whether the vaccine will work on this.
Significantly, there have been three waves of corona in India. The first and third waves, however, were not as frightening. But there was loss of life and property in the second wave. Due to the Delta variant, destruction was seen in many parts of the country. At present there is no effect of corona here.
