Bengaluru, 27 May (IANS). There have been 80 new cases of Corona in Karnataka. In view of this, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that the elderly and already sick people must wear masks as caution.
On Tuesday, he was talking to the media after paying a wreath on his idol and picture on the death anniversary of the country’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru at the eastern gate of Vidhan Saudh.
The Chief Minister said that in a meeting on Monday, precautionary steps were discussed about Korona.
He said, “We should be ready for every situation. There should be no obstruction in the system of ventilator, oxygen and hospitals. Cases of Corona have increased from 65 to 80, but the situation is not serious right now.”
The Chief Minister said, “Children who have cold, cough or fever should not be sent to school. The elderly and sick people should wear masks. It is also necessary to keep the vaccine stock for precautionary precaution.”
Siddaramaiah clarified that wearing masks is not necessary for everyone, but especially the elderly and people who are at risk are advised to wear.
He also informed that no new guidelines for investigation have come by the central government at the airport, but the state government will take necessary precautions on its behalf.
Talking about Jawaharlal Nehru, Siddaramaiah said, “Pandit Nehru was the creator of modern India. He made an honest attempt to eradicate poverty from the country. He launched a mixed economy, laid the foundation of the Green Revolution, promoting the cooperative movement and decentralization of power. During his 17 years of tenure, he established many dams, public sector industries and educational institutions as Prime Minister.
He said, “If the country has gained economic strength and food self -sufficiency today, then it is due to the foundation laid by Nehru. Every Indian should remember them with respect. If today India is a big economy of the world, it is the result of Nehru’s foresight.”
