Abhishek Banerjee lashed Pakistan on terrorism in Japan, appealed for global support

Trinamool Congress National General Secretary and MP Abhishek Banerjee, along with a multi -party Indian delegation in Japan, tried to raise global support against Pakistan -sponsored terrorism. The initiative was taken under the ‘Operation Sindoor’ launched on 22 April 2025 after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, in which 26 innocent people were killed.

In a meeting with Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Ivaya, India underlined its zero tolerance policy and Pakistan’s threat against terrorism. Japan supported India’s efforts and appreciated India for being restrained.

Banerjee also met the Japanese think tank and former Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, where he clarified India’s anti -terrorism policy and stressed the need for global solidarity. The delegation also highlighted the values ​​of peace and non -violence by offering flowers at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Tokyo.

The delegation will further visit South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore to collect support for India’s anti -terrorism approach in Asia.

Under ‘Operation Sindoor’, India attacked Pakistan’s terrorist bases, after which Pakistan appealed to the ceasefire. This campaign exposed Pakistan’s military weakness.

India Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar made it clear that India would deal with Pakistan bilaterally without any third party mediation and no softening will be made on the issue of terrorism.
