Ajit Doval pulled out foreign media reporting on Operation Sindoor, said- shows a proof of loss

National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval attacked the reporting of foreign media at Operation Sindoor at the 62nd convocation of IIT Madras on Friday, July 11, 2025. He challenged foreign media, especially the New York Times, to show a single proof of any loss in India, such as “a broken window glass”. Doval said the foreign media promoted Pakistan’s claims, but only 13 airports of Pakistan, such as Sargodha, Rahim Yar Khan and Chaklala, were the first and after satellite photos, which reflect the exact attacks of the Indian Air Force.

Operation Sindoor was launched on 7 May 2025, the response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April 2025, in which 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed. The Indian armed forces destroyed nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), which included Jaish-e-Mohammed’s Bahawalpur headquarters and Lashkar-e-Taiba’s base, with accurate attacks. The entire action was completed in just 23 minutes. Doval appreciated indigenous technology, such as the BrahMos missile and the sky air defense system, which thwarted the Pakistani drone attacks.

Pakistan carried out counter -drone and missile attacks, but India’s air defense systems thwarted them. On May 10, the two countries agreed to stop military actions. Doval said that foreign media made biased reporting against India, but could not provide any evidence. He emphasized the need for India to move towards technical self -sufficiency, describing indigenous technology and artificial intelligence (AI) as “game changer”.
