Amid the presence of 10 lakh Indians, India -Kuwait prepared a strategy to give new height to relations

India and Kuwait on Tuesday reviewed the mutual relations during the Foreign Office Consultations held in New Delhi on Tuesday and the two countries agreed that they would further strengthen their strategic partnership.

Many important issues like politics, business, investment, defense, energy, culture and people-of relations were discussed in detail in the meeting. This conversation is part of the roadmap that was decided by the leadership of the two countries during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Kuwait in December 2024.

India and Kuwait also decided that they would soon call meetings of Joint Work Groups (JWGS) under Joint Commission for Cooperation and the next counseling meeting would be held in Kuwait. Economic partnership between the two countries is also increasing continuously and bilateral trade in 2024–25 has reached around US $ 10.2 billion. In addition, more than 1 million Indians live in Kuwait, which further strengthens the relationship between the two countries.
