Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh on Saturday accused the conspiracy to discredit the Bihar government and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar amid the concerns raised by the opposition parties on the law and order situation in the state.
He said that earlier criminals were given protection, but now they are being caught. He said that those involved in the Paras Hospital firing will be arrested soon.
Union Minister Singh told ANI, “There were compromises with criminals earlier. He was given protection. However, today it cannot be said that the government is saving criminals including the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister. Criminals are being caught. Paras hospitals are also caught. However, I want to ask why these criminals are from a particular community?
He criticized the opposition for not giving importance to the efforts made by the Chief Minister to create employment opportunities in Bihar. He said that the state government has already created 10 lakh employment.
Giriraj Singh said, “Opposition cannot say anything about employment. The Chief Minister has announced a plan to create one crore new employment opportunities. His government has already given 10 lakh jobs. The rate of girls leaving school has decreased. Women are getting employment.”
His remarks have come in response to the opposition to say that Prime Minister Modi did not talk about the law and order situation in Bihar in his speech yesterday.
Earlier on Friday, Prime Minister Modi had criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) allies Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress to stop development in Bihar and appealed to voters to “save” the state from their “malicious” intentions before the assembly elections to be held later this year.
Addressing a public rally in Motihari after dedicating projects worth Rs 72,00 crore for Bihar, the Prime Minister accused the Congress and RJD of doing politics in the name of poor, Dalits, backward classes and tribals, but he never ensured equal rights for them.
The Prime Minister said, “Congress and RJD have been doing politics in the name of poor, Dalits, backward and tribals. But far away, they often fail to show respect for people outside their family. The ego of these people is watching the whole of Bihar today. We have to save Bihar from their malicious intentions.”
Taking more spacing the attack, Prime Minister Modi said that it was impossible for the poor to get such pucca houses during the rule of RJD and Congress in Bihar.
He further said, “It was impossible for the poor to get such a pucca house under the RJD and the Congress. Under the rule of those people, people could not muster the courage to get their homes dyeing, due to the fear that if they did so, the landlords would not know them.
