Controversy arose over Mark Zuckerberg's statement calling Modi government weak, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav gave a befitting reply.

New Delhi. A statement given by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg in a recent podcast has created a huge controversy. Referring to the Covid-19 pandemic, Zuckerberg said that after the pandemic, public trust in governments has decreased across the world. He also claimed that this discontent influenced the 2024 election results, in which most of the ruling governments lost.

Zuckerberg claimed in the context of India that the Narendra Modi-led NDA government lost the 2024 general elections. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given a strong reaction to his statement.

Zuckerberg’s claim wrong, India again expressed confidence in NDA

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav rejected Zuckerberg’s statement on social media platform X, writing, “India, the world’s largest democracy, voted in the 2024 elections with more than 64 crore voters. The people of the country reaffirmed their faith in the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Zuckerberg’s claim is factually incorrect.”

PM Modi’s victory for the third time, proof of good governance

Ashwini Vaishnav further said that during the Covid pandemic, under the leadership of PM Modi, free food and 220 crore vaccines were provided to 80 crore people. The Prime Minister helped countries around the world during the time of Covid and established India as the fastest growing major economy. His decisive victory for the third time is a clear proof of public trust and good governance.
