New Delhi. CID Intelligence from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan has arrested Mahendra Prasad, manager of a guest house of Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). The manager is accused of spying for Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. This guest house of DRDO is located near Chandan Field Firing Range of Jaisalmer. Manager Mahendra Prasad is working as a contract worker in this guest house. It is being told that it was sharing India’s intelligence and confidential information with the people of Pakistan. Intelligence information was received about Mahendra Prasad, after which action was taken on him.

Mahendra Prasad is originally from Almora district of Uttarakhand. He was in touch with the Pakistani intelligence agency through social media. The Chandan Field Firing Range has missiles and weapons tested. While monitoring the activities of DRDO scientists and Indian Army officials, Mahendra Prasad was giving information to ISI. Mahendra Prasad was first monitored, later he was questioned at the Central Interrogation Center in Jaipur, after which a lot of information was received from his mobile phone. After this he was arrested.

A case has been registered against Mahendra Prasad under the official Secrets Act, 1923. Today he will be produced in court and remand will be demanded. After that the process of questioning him will start. Intelligence agencies are also trying to find out how many more people are involved in this detective network? Apart from this, on the basis of interrogation, information will be gathered that what intelligence related to India has provided to the Pakistani handler. This is a very sensitive matter from the point of view of national security.
