A 33 -year -old woman from Hyderabad allegedly killed her three children in her home in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, 26 August. After killing the children, the woman herself also attempted to commit suicide.
National Human Rights Committee member and well-known social worker, Nas Shaukat Ali told a media channel that the woman has been identified as Syeda Humera Amreen, a resident of Tolichowki’s MD Lines. He is suspected of killing his six -year -old twin sons, Mohammad Sadiq Ahmed and Mohammad Adil Ahmed, and his youngest children, three -year -old Mohammad Yusuf Ahmed in a water -filled bathtub. After the murder, the woman tried to commit suicide, but slipped and fainted and was rushed to the hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment in police custody.
The incident came to light when her husband, Mohammad Shahnawaz returned to her home. He was repeatedly calling his wife, but when no answer was received from the phone, he reached home in a hurry. After reaching home, Shahnawaz’s senses flew away after seeing the view there. Shahnawaz brought his family to Saudi Arabia on a visitor visa eight months ago.
According to media reports, the initiation investigation indicates that domestic stress and mental health concerns may have contributed to the event. Shahnawaz reportedly told investigators that his wife was taking psychological counseling and treatment.
Apart from this, it has also been told in the reports that Shahnawaz was very busy in his work, so he could give very little time to his family. Shahnawaz’s wife Syeda Humera probably took such a dreadful step due to American loneliness and lack of support.
Saudi Red Crescent assisted to transfer the bodies of children to a local hospital. Under the leadership of Shaukat Ali, the legal proceedings of burying the bodies are proceeding. The Al Khobar Police has started a thorough investigation to find out the exact order of the incidents and to confirm the motive behind the murders.
