New Delhi. A sudden fire incident has come to light in the Mumbai-Amritsar Express train in Bharuch, Gujarat. In the accident that occurred at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, a fire broke out in the compartment of a moving train due to a short circuit, causing panic among the passengers. The accident occurred near the Silver Bridge between Bharuch and Ankleshwar, where smoke suddenly started coming out of a compartment adjacent to the engine.
Immediately after the fire, the passengers on board the train started getting off the train in panic. As soon as information about the incident was received, Bharuch fire brigade and police reached the spot. The fire department and train employees controlled the fire after a lot of hard work, due to which a major accident could be avoided. The train was brought to Bharuch station and sent again after complete investigation.
According to railway officials, the fire broke out due to short circuit in this express train going from Mumbai to Amritsar. The train staff informed the Bharuch fire brigade about the incident, and the fire brigade team reached the spot and brought the fire under control. The passengers were taken to safe places and the journey was resumed by putting them in other coaches of the train. There is no news of any casualty in this incident. A major accident was averted due to the alertness and immediate action of passengers and railway employees.
A similar accident had happened recently also
Earlier on November 10, a similar incident had taken place in Unchahar Express near Etawah station, in which fire broke out due to short circuit. During the incident, passengers and railway employees together brought the fire under control.
