MK Stalin
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has once again expressed his opinion on the language dispute and has accused the central government of imposing Hindi in the South Indian states. On Thursday, he once again said that the state would not allow the language to be imposed. Raising voice against the alleged Hindi imposition by the Center, he vowed to protect Tamil and its culture. In a letter to party workers, he said, “Will oppose imposing Hindi. Hindi is a mask, Sanskrit is a hidden face.”
The ruling DMK is accusing the Center of imposing Hindi by the Center through a 3-language formula as part of the National Education Policy (NEP), although the central government has denied the charge.
Stalin claims- North Indian languages ended
In the letter, Stalin claimed that many North Indian languages spoken in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, such as Maithili, Brajbhasha, Bundelkhandi and Awadhi, have been destroyed by “Heptured Hindi.” “More than 25 North Indian original languages have been destroyed by the invasion of the authorized Hindi-Sanskrit languages. The ruling DMK chief said that the centuries-old Dravidian movement created Tamil and its culture due to creating awareness and various movements.”
Stalin mentions Rajasthan
Stalin said that Tamil Nadu is opposing NEP as the Center is trying to impose Hindi and Sanskrit through education policy. Opposing the BJP’s argument that according to the NEP, the third language could also be foreign, Stalin claimed that according to the 3-Language Policy Schedule, “only Sanskrit is being promoted in many states.” He claimed that BJP -ruled Rajasthan is appointing Sanskrit teachers instead of Urdu trainers. He said, “If the Tamil Nadu accepts the triple policy, the mother tongue will be ignored and there will be culturalization in the future.”
Two linguistic policy is mandatory in Tamil Nadu
The Tamil Nadu CM claimed that NEP provisions stated that “other Indian languages besides Sanskrit will be taught in schools and other languages like Tamil can be taught online. The Chief Minister alleged, “This makes it clear that the Center has planned to eliminate languages like Tamil and impose Sanskrit.” The Dravidian leader and former Chief Minister CN Annadurai made a two-language policy mandatory in the state decades ago to make it clear that “there is no place to impose Arya culture through Hindi-Sanskrit and destroy Tamil culture.” (Input- PTI language)
