Investigation Will Continue Against Zia Ur Rehman Barq in Sambhal violence case, ban on arrest

New Delhi. SP MP Ziaur Rahman Burke has definitely got relief from arrest in the Sambhal violence case, but the investigation against him will continue. Allahabad High Court has refused to stay the investigation against the SP MP, however has asked the police not to arrest the MP. Burke had approached the Allahabad High Court demanding cancellation of the FIR filed against him, but the court did not accept his demand. The court has directed Burke to cooperate in the police investigation.

Sambhal police can issue a notice to Burke in this matter and call him for questioning, in such a situation Burke will have to cooperate in the police investigation. The court said that if Burke does not cooperate in the investigation, only on that condition the police can arrest him. The police have registered an FIR against Burke, making him an accused in the Sambhal violence case. Police allege that Burke instigated the people, after which the crowd became furious and violence broke out. Violence broke out on November 24 during the survey of Jama Masjid in Sambhal.

Four people were killed in this violence while more than 30 people were injured. The CO was shot in the leg while the SDM’s leg was fractured. Apart from this, many other policemen were also injured. Sambhal MP is currently on the radar. Recently the DM launched an electricity theft campaign in which it was revealed that stolen electricity was being used in Burke’s house. After this, a case of electricity theft has also been registered against the MP. At the same time, the administration has also issued a notice to him regarding unauthorized construction in his under-construction house.
