At the same time, during the meeting with teachers who lost jobs, West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee said that she will support the eligible candidates who lost the job. Mamta Banerjee also told the teachers who lost their jobs in the recruitment scam that if someone wants to punish me when he stands with them, I am ready to go to jail. He attacked BJP and CPM and said that some people are playing dirty to break the education system of West Bengal. On the other hand, the BJP has raised the issue and sought resignation from CM Mamata Banerjee.

The Supreme Court upheld the Calcutta High Court’s decision in the West Bengal recruitment scam on 3 April. A total of 25753 people have lost their jobs. The Supreme Court called the entire selection process tainted. The Calcutta High Court ordered a CBI inquiry into the case. The ED also investigated money laundering. After which West Bengal education minister Partha Chatterjee and his close actress Arpita Mukherjee were arrested and sent to jail. Crores of rupees and jewelry were also recovered from Arpita’s whereabouts. After this, Mamta Banerjee expelled Partha Chatterjee from TMC.
