Studies and scientific evidence has proved that there is a direct connection between air pollution and most air pollution in India between adverse health results and increasing incidence of acute respiratory disease. A top official of ‘Lancet Countdown’ gave this information.
This statement of ‘Lancet Countdown’ Executive Director Marina Bellen Romanelo came at a time when the Government of India’s report in Colombia discussed the report of the Government of India, stating that there is no direct connection between air pollution and mortality.
The ‘Lancet Countdown’ on health and climate change is a multidisciplinary cooperative study that monitors the emerging health profiles due to the changing climate.
Romanello highlighted the long-term health effects of air pollution in interaction with ‘PTI-language’, including lung cancer, cardiovascular diseases and increased risk of heart attack, etc.
Romanelo said, “There is very strong evidence of how harmful air pollution is to the health of people of all ages.” Therefore, it is very important that governments accept science and clean the air, because it will make the population more healthy and more productive. ”
In July 2024, Minister of State for Health Anupriya Patel told the Rajya Sabha that “there is no decisive data available in the country that can only establish a direct connection between deaths/diseases caused by air pollution.” He said in a written reply that air pollution is one of the factors responsible for respiratory diseases and related diseases.
