Oman intensified tourism strategy every year to attract 1 million Indian tourists

Oman is working on a large scale to attract Indian tourists and has set a target that at least one million (1 million) Indian tourists come here every year. India and Oman have been strong historical and cultural relations since ancient times. Marine trade, cultural exchange and combinations of communities have always connected the two countries to each other. This is the reason that even today, Oman seems to be a friendly and familiar destination for Indian travelers, not like a foreign country.

The beauty of Oman is hidden in its diverse geographical identity. The huge desert while tourists can enjoy exciting ‘Desert Safari’ and ‘Doon Bashing’, the brilliant hills are ideal for trekking and camping. Apart from this, clean and calm beaches provide the opportunity of resting Indian tourists and water sports. During this, there was a discussion on the changing choice of Indian travelers and preparing a special package for them.

Oman is particularly focusing on the growing trend of Indian weddings and adventure tourism. Given the grandeur of Indian weddings and tradition of ceremony on foreign location, Oman is promoting its luxurious resorts and beautiful natural sites as a destination wedding. At the same time, Oman’s hills, sea and desert provide an ideal background for adventure Indian youth, where they can enjoy trekking, scuba diving, rock climbing and other activities.

Government’s favorable visa policies and availability of direct flights from India make Oman even more convenient for Indian tourists. Continuous investment in luxury hotels, resorts and international -level infrastructure has made it a modern and safe destination.

The aim of all these efforts is that the Indian tourist should not only consider Oman a place to celebrate a holiday, but also look at it as a destination -rich, cultural and exciting experiences.
