After the Mahakumbh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time on reaching his parliamentary constituency Kashi on Friday. He said that in the last 11 years, the development and guidance under the Prime Minister’s leadership and guidance has changed Kashi and now devotees from all over the country are thronging to see the new Kashi and its new collection.
The Chief Minister said, “Everyone has seen Kashi changing in the last 11 years. This is the same Kashi, which was known for narrow streets, for her jam. Kashi has been an ancient center of education, but in the last 11 years, more than Rs 50,000 crore projects have come here for health, for tourism, for tourism, for health, for health.
He said that even today, the foundation stone of projects worth about 4000 crores is being launched in Kashi due to the Prime Minister’s tax lotus.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed and greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi by wearing Angavastra covered with Radha-Krishna’s pastimes and offering mementoes.
The Prime Minister was presented a lotus umbrella built under Varanasi’s ‘GI Tag’ foundation as a memento.
The Chief Minister said, “This is the first Kashi Yatra of the Prime Minister after the historic victory in Haryana, Maharashtra and Delhi Assembly elections, as well as the divine and grand Mahakumbh.” He said, “Kashi also witnessed it in this event of divine and grand Mahakumbh. In the last 11 years, every devotee coming from the country and the world, under the leadership and guidance of the Prime Minister, was seen to see this new Kashi and Baba Vishwanath’s holy land as a new collection.
The Chief Minister said that on the occasion of this 45 -day event, a Maha Samagam was also visible in Kashi and during this time more than three crore devotees visited the holy Dham of Baba Vishwanath located here.
Adityanath said that the success, grandeur and his divinity of Mahakumbh appeared to touch a new height under the guidance and leadership of the Prime Minister. He said that after the Namami Gange project, every devotee who took a dip in the Triveni of mother Ganga, mother Yamuna and mother Saraswati found himself overwhelmed. He said that Mahakumbh has also succeeded today due to the success of Namami Gange project.
The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister’s efforts to provide recognition to the products of Kashi and Uttar Pradesh at national and international level have proved to be worthwhile. He said that Kashi and its adjacent districts have received the most GI tags so far and Uttar Pradesh is securing the number one place in the GI tag inside the country.
He said that 21 new GI tag certificates are being provided today from the tax lotuses of the Prime Minister. These efforts have been made to provide a new identity to the products of local handicrafts and artisans nationally and internationally.
Adityanath said that Ayushman Bharat has proved to be a milestone to provide health facilities to a poor. More than 50 crore people inside the country and more than 10 crore people of Uttar Pradesh have directly benefited from this scheme.
Through the ‘Vy Vandana Yojana Card’ in the entire country including Uttar Pradesh, every elderly person over the age of 70 has been provided health facility of Rs 5,00,000 and so far more than 50,000 elders have made a card in Kashi.
Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandi Ben Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak, Gujarat Legislative Assembly Speaker Shankar Bhai Chaudhary, Bharatiya Janata Party state president Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh were present on the occasion.
