Ram Mandir Trust member Vimalandra Mohan Pratap Mishra passed away, CM Yogi expresses grief

Bimalinder Mohan Pratap Mishra, a descendant of the former royal family of Ayodhya and member of the Ram Mandir Trust, died at around 11 pm on Saturday night. Family sources gave this information on Sunday.

Many leaders including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the main opposition Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav have mourned the death of Mishra.

Chief Minister expressed grief

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also mourned the death of Vimalandra Mohan Pratap Mishra. He wrote on the X post, “The honorable member of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, Shri Vimalandra Mohan Pratap Mishra, the head of Rajasadan Ayodhya, is extremely sad. My condolences are with the bereaved families. Pray to Lord Shri Rama to give the departed saints to the departed saints and the mournful families to bear the strength to tolerate this virtue, ॐ peace!”

A few months ago he suffered a leg injury and also had an operation. After this, his activism has not been the same as before. Despite this, he continued to take interest in the work related to the city and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi.A few days ago, his spine was also operated and recently he returned from Lucknow after getting a checkup done. According to the family, his blood pressure suddenly fell on Saturday night and he could not escape despite doctors’ efforts.

Important role related to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas

Vimalandra Mohan Pratap Mishra was the first senior member of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust. When the trust was formed after the Supreme Court’s decision and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement, the Commissioner of Ayodhya handed him the first charge of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi campus. He also contributed significantly to the Ram temple movement. He was also the President of Shri Pratap Dharma Sangu Trust and was always ahead in religious and social work.

Strong hold in politics and relationships too

In Ayodhya, people in Ayodhya used to call “Raja Saheb”, his personality was such that big officials and leaders of Uttar Pradesh and Central Government were considered close to him. He also contested from Ayodhya Lok Sabha seat on Bahujan Samaj Party ticket. His son Yatindra Mohan Pratap Mishra is a famous music scholar and poet. Yatindra also received the National Award for his book ‘Lata Sur Gatha’.
