Lucknow. Justice Devendra Arora Committee has submitted its report about the violence in 2024 in Sambhal to UP CM Yogi Adityanath. This report is of 450 pages. According to sources, the committee has said two important things in the report. The first is that there has been a lot of change in demography in Sambhal. Also, there has been a major decline in the population of Hindus since independence in Sambhal district. CM Yogi formed a committee under the chairmanship of Allahabad High Court Justice Devendra Arora to investigate the violence in Sambhal. Former IPS AK Jain and IAS Amit Mohan Prasad were also placed in this committee.

Sources have been quoted in the media as saying that the Justice Arora Committee has also told in detail in its report how many riots have taken place in Sambhal since independence. Also, it has been told in the report that what happened in the riots in Sambhal. According to the media, the report submitted to CM Yogi said that earlier 45 percent of Hindus lived in Sambhal. Whereas, their number has come down to just 15 to 20 percent now. Whereas, 55 percent of Muslims lived in Sambhal at the time of independence. Their population has increased. According to the media, the report said that the Hindu population in Sambhal decreased due to frequent riots. Demography of the district changed due to riots and appeasement. There have been riots in Sambhal in 1947 and then 12 times. There was a last riot in Sambhal in 2019.

There was a fierce violence outside the Shahi Jama Masjid on 24 November 2024 in Sambhal. At that time, on the order of the court, the Commissioner was surveying the Shahi Jama Masjid. The court has filed a petition on behalf of the Hindu side that there was a Harihar temple of Lord Vishnu’s Kalki avatar in place of Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal. Which was broken on the instructions of Mughal Emperor Babur and a royal Jama Masjid was made on him. On this petition, the court of Sambhal appointed the commissioner and ordered a survey. The survey was conducted earlier on the evening of 19 November 2024 and no incident took place during that time, but on November 24, the miscreants outside the mosque were arson and stoned outside the mosque. Firing was also done by the miscreants. In which four people died.
