Foreign Minister’s statement on India-China relations.
India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has given a big statement regarding the relations between China and India. S Jaishankar has said on Wednesday that after the ongoing tension since the clash in the Galwan Valley in 2020, the two countries are trying to re -establish their relations. Jaishankar has also said that stressful relations will not be beneficial for any side (country).
What happened in 2020 is regrettable- S Jaishankar
Actually, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar Think-Tank- was participating in a session organized by the Asia Society. During this, the Foreign Minister said that there may be differences between India and China in the coming time, but they should not become a dispute. S. Jaishankar said about the clash of Galwan- “What happened in 2020 was really very regrettable for the relationship. It was not just a conflict, it was a disregard of written agreements. He went far away from the terms on which the consent was agreed.”
Some improvements have been improved in relations- S Jaishankar
External Affairs Minister Jaishankar said on the tension arising out of China on Wednesday- “We are still dealing with some parts of it, it is not that the issue is completely over.” There has been some improvement in India-China relations since October last year. We are working on various aspects of this. I have met my (Chinese) counterpart many times, my other senior colleagues have also met him. ”
What happened in the dalwan?
In June 2020, Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley broke the agreements on the border completely. Chinese troops tried to infiltrate the Indian border and attacked the Indian Army. 20 Indian soldiers had to be martyred in this cowardly act. However, according to various reports, around 60 personnel of China were killed in the clash in the Galwan. The clash was the most serious military conflict between India and China in the last several decades. Since this clash, the relations between India and China have not been completely improved.
