New Delhi. In the case related to stray dogs in Delhi-NCR, the Supreme Court has given a new verdict by changing its old order. The court said that after sterilization and vaccination, the dogs should be released back from the shelter home from where they were caught. However, dogs who are violent, rabies or sick should be kept in the shelter home. The court also said that dogs should not be fed food in any public place. For this, one place should be identified in every ward. Also, the Supreme Court has issued notice to all the states including Delhi.

The court also issued a directive to start the helpline to file a complaint against those who violated the rules. The Supreme Court made it clear that action will also be taken on those who give food to dogs in public places. Apart from this, if a person hinders the work of the team catching dogs, then a fine of 25 thousand will be imposed on the NGO doing so. The bench of Justice Vikram Nath, Justice Sandeep Mehta and Justice NV Anjaria reserved the verdict in the matter on 14 August.

Earlier Justice J.B. Pardiwala and Justice R.K.
