The success of Amarnath Yatra will send a message that there is peace in Kashmir: Farooq Abdullah

National Conference President Farooq Abdullah said on Monday that the successful Amarnath Yatra will send a message to the rest of the country that there is peace in Kashmir.

The annual Amarnath Yatra is scheduled to begin on 3 July.

Abdullah told reporters in Baba Nagari in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir, “It is a good thing that Amarnath pilgrims will come. A maximum number of pilgrims should come, so that the message should come that there is peace here (in Kashmir).”

He said that the damage done to Kashmir after the Pahalgam terror attack can be reduced by the peaceful Amarnath Yatra.

Abdullah, who came to Baba Nagari to participate in the annual Urs, said that he prayed for peace in the country.

He said, “I prayed for the end of the atmosphere of peace in the country, the better future of our youth and the end of the environment of hate, which we are passing by.”
