Lakhs stolen from former minister
A shocking case of theft of jewelery worth Rs 50 lakh has come to light in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The thief entered the house of former minister and former Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Niranjan Patnaik and cleaned his hand on precious jewels. The incident occurred on Sunday morning, on Republic Day.
Police could not recognize the thief yet
According to the information, the thief targeted the cupboard kept in the house, in which jewelry worth about 50 lakh rupees was kept. The house was completely empty at the time of the incident. At present, the police is investigating the case, but till now the thief has not been identified.
Questions are standing on law and order
This incident is raising serious questions on law and order. Police say every effort is being made to catch the thief and recover the stolen goods. CCTV footage has been found by the police’s hand theft incident. In this footage, the thief comfortably enters the room and opens the cupboard and steals millions of jewelry and escapes.
Police searched CCTV footage outside the house
Police say that soon the accused thief will be identified and arrested. The police is also investigating CCTV footage outside the former minister’s house. The police is finding out where the accused man went after stealing.
