During this time, strong winds can be blowing at a speed of 50-60 km per hour. Arunachal Pradesh is alert of continuous rain from 20 to 22 April.

The Meteorological Department may receive light to moderate -level rains in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Karaikal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana and Karnataka during the next 5 days. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall at different places in Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on 18 and 19 April. On April 17, there is a possibility of rain with dust storm at different places in eastern Rajasthan.

Many districts of Uttar Pradesh may receive light rain today. Along with this, east wind will also run. During the next 24 hours, there may be light rain in many eastern UP including Lucknow, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Prayagraj, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Mirzapur. Many states including Delhi-NCR are getting hot. There is a possibility of heat wave in western and eastern Rajasthan during 17–19 April. People of Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh will not get relief from the heat. However, Delhi will be cloudy.
