Under this, the Yogi government is going to connect women Surya Sakhi to increase participation in solar -based schemes including solar panels, lighting, EV charging of women of self -help groups. In the same sequence, under the guidance of CM Yogi, Deecentralized Energy for Women’s Economic Empowerment is being organized by UPSRLM on Wednesday. Its goal is to deliver DRE to 1 lakh women leadership enterprises by the year 2030. Through this, the field of solar energy will increase rapidly, on the other hand rural and urban women will be financially strong. Experts from the field of solar energy from the country and abroad will participate in the program and will draw a blueprint to put the DI on the ground.

UPSRLM Director Deepa Ranjan said that the Yogi government is constantly emphasizing on women empowerment and rural development. They believe that if women are financially empowered, then the path of prosperity in the society will be opened. Under the guidance of the Chief Minister, several schemes have been introduced for women, which is an important step to promote DRE. In such a situation, DRE initiative by Uttar Pradesh State Rural Life Mission is a new step towards empowering women self -help groups (SHGS). He said that DRE is related to off-grid ie mini grid energy solutions, is an important initiative for people living in rural and remote areas. There is a lot of difficulty in reaching the traditional power network in these areas, DRE will provide clean, inexpensive and reliable energy to homes and communities. Through this initiative, women can not only improve their economic status, but can also play an active role in the promotion of clean energy solutions.

Under the DEWEE program, women will not only be able to establish, maintain and repair DRE solutions, but they will also provide clean energy -related services in their communities. This will increase their income and they will be able to play a better role in the society. Apart from this, women will also be able to establish small enterprises, which will give them a new opportunity to empower. The director said that the department has partnered with several important institutions to make the program a success. This includes institutions like PCI India, HCBC, Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet, Gates Foundation India and Prerna Ojas. These institutions will play an important role in putting DRE on the ground in 20 districts of the state. In collaboration with these institutions, an inclusive and flexible clean energy system will be constructed for women. In the program, UPSRLM Director Deepa Ranjan, PCI India’s Climate and Strategy Director Shishir Kumar Singh, Rural Development Commissioner GS Priyadarshi, UPNEDA Director Inderjit Singh, Industry Director and MSME Commissioner, Director and MSME Commissioner Kanupar KV Pandian, Additional Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Him, Government of India Director-scientific Jeevan Kumar Jethani and Gates Foundation Director Hari Menon etc. will be included.
