New companies have also come into India rapidly. In the last financial year (2023-24), more than 1.85 lakh companies were registered in the country. This is much more than the number of companies registered in the previous financial year. About 16,600 companies were established in March this year. According to language news, this information has been received from official data. According to the data, 1,59,524 companies were registered with a collective paid-up capital of Rs 18,132.16 crore in the financial year 2022-23. At the end of March 2024, there were a total of 26,63,016 companies in the country and out of these, 16,91,495 or 64 percent companies were active.
9,31,644 registered companies closed down
According to the news, the data shows that at least 9,31,644 of these registered companies were also closed, 2,470 were inactive and 10,385 companies were under liquidation. The process of removing a total of 27,022 companies from official records was underway. The March bulletin of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs said that 1,85,312 companies with a total paid-up capital of Rs 30,927.40 crore were registered in the financial year 2023-24. Of these, 71 percent companies were from the service sector. After this, 23 percent were related to industrial sector and six percent were related to agricultural sector.
Most of the new companies were established in Maharashtra
According to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, in terms of states, 17.6 percent of new companies were established in Maharashtra in 2023-24. The data revealed that as of March 31, 2024, a total of 5,164 foreign companies were registered in the country and 3,288 or 64 percent of them were active. According to a report, in the coming time, India will see good growth in health, renewable energy, IT, infrastructure, tourism and FMCG sectors. In such a situation, it is expected that new companies will come in various sectors and provide a large number of employment opportunities.
