Ranchi. 10 players from Jharkhand have been invited for the national camp of the senior Indian women’s hockey team. It includes Nikki Pradhan, Salima Tete Sangeeta Kumari, Ropani Kumari, Deepika Soreng, Sonal Minj, Mahima Tete, Pramila Kumari, Anjana Dungdung and Anisha Dungdung. Earlier, 06 players from Jharkhand have also been invited for the national camp of the junior Indian women’s hockey team.
10 women hockey players from Jharkhand – Nikki Pradhan, Salima Tete, Sangeeta Kumari, Ropani Kumari, Deepika Soreng, Sonal Minz and Mahima Tete – will be selected for the national camp of the senior Indian women’s hockey team to be held at SAI Center Bengaluru from 1st to 7th April 2024. The hockey team that represented Jharkhand has been included.
Apart from this, Pramila Kumari, Anjana Dungdung and Anisha Dungdung who represented the Hockey Bengal team have also been invited. Apart from these 10 players, Jharkhand’s beauty Dungdung is already in Bengaluru. All these players were selected on the basis of their performance in the 14th Hockey India Senior National Women’s Hockey Championship 2024 held in Pune from 13 to 23 March.
Senior women hockey players of SAI Ranchi have been transferred to Senior SAI Excellence Center Kolkata, hence many players from Jharkhand now also represent Hockey Bengal in the Senior National. Apart from the seniors, a total of 06 people from Jharkhand, Neeru Kullu, Rajni Kerketta, Binima Dhan, Nirali Kujur, Nisha Minj and Sanjana Horo, have also been invited to the camp of the Junior India team.
Out of the 10 players invited for the senior camp, 6 players Nikki Pradhan, Salima Tete, Sangeeta Kumari, Sonal Minj, Deepika Soreng and Ropani Kumari are working in Ranchi Railways. While four players Mahima Tete, Anjana Dungdung, Pramila Kumari and Anisha Dungdung are currently training at Ekalavya Ranchi and SAI Kolkata. Sports Director Mr. Sushant Gaurav, Hockey Jharkhand President Bholanath Singh, Vijay Shankar Singh and other officials have congratulated and congratulated 10 players from Jharkhand for inviting them to the national camp of the senior Indian women’s hockey team.
