Why can’t RCB win?
The biggest reason for the defeat of Royal Challengers Bangalore – they do not have an Indian domestic batsman. The team had added Virat Kohli with them in 2008. Then Delhi did not trust its domestic cricketer Virat. RCB took him and till date he is with the team. But apart from Virat, RCB has not had any such Indian batsman in history, who has been with the team continuously for many seasons and kept scoring runs.
More than one thousand runs only for Virat
You will be surprised but till date Virat Kohli is the only Indian batsman who has scored more than a thousand runs in IPL for RCB. Kohli is the highest run scorer in IPL. He has more than 7 thousand runs. But who other than Virat, and the answer is no one. Batsmen like Devdutt Padikkal and KL Rahul did well for the team for a while but then they moved to other teams.
Indian batsman who scored the most runs in IPL for RCB
Virat Kohli – 7263
Rahul Dravid – 898
Devdutt Padikkal – 884
Parthiv Patel – 731
Mandeep Singh – 597
Status of champion teams?
Mumbai Indians have won the IPL title 5 times. 7 Indian players have scored more than a thousand runs for the team. KKR is the two-time champions and 9 Indian batsmen have scored 1000+ runs for them. For the 4-time champion Chennai Super Kings too, 7 batsmen have crossed the 1000-run mark.
At the present time, apart from Rohit Sharma, Mumbai has names like Ishaan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma. Chennai have Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ambati Rayudu, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Jadeja and Shivam Dube. At the same time, apart from Virat in RCB, there are bigger names than Dinesh Karthik. This is the big reason which has not allowed the team to win the title so far.
