Mahindra & Mahindra is going to launch the next generation model of its famous SUV Mahindra Scorpio in the domestic market. In the past, the new model of this SUV has been spotted during testing on several different occasions. Now the news is coming that the company will not only launch it in the market with new look, design and features but it will also be given a new name. According to reports, the company can launch the new Scorpio for sale in the coming few months.
A few days ago, the new Scorpio was spotted during offroad testing in Leh-Ladak, it is being told that the company is doing its hill descent testing. So that by driving it in different parts of the country, it can be proved that its performance will be better. Although the testing model was camouflaged (covered), but despite this, certain things related to its design and look have come to the fore.

The new Mahindra Scorpio will get a large chrome grille with the new logo of the brand. The LED twin-pod projector headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL’s), LED fog lamps, side-steps, roof rails, high-mounted stop lamps and rear spoiler enhance the look. On the inside too, the Scorpio will get a new dashboard that will come equipped with almost premium upholstery, a new touchscreen infotainment system, a new multi-functional leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, an electric sunroof. The most special thing about its cabin will be that captain seats will be given in it.
While on one hand the company will include new and modern features in it, features like 10-speaker audio system and ADAS system can also be removed. So that while keeping its price low, it can be positioned below the current XUV700. Although it is difficult to say anything about its price before the launch, but it is believed that it can be offered between Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 17 lakh.

The company will launch the new Scorpio with both petrol and diesel engine options. In this, a turbo petrol engine of 2.0 liter capacity is being used, which generates 150 bhp power and 320 Nm torque. On the other hand, the diesel version will see a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine, which generates 130 bhp power and 320 Nm torque. Both these engines come mated to a 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic transmission gearbox.
