17 terrorists were also injured in the attack in two provinces
Kabul, July 24 (IANS) | Thirty-three Taliban militants were killed and 17 others injured in attacks by the Afghanistan Air Force (AAF) in the two provinces, the Defense Ministry confirmed on Saturday. In Javazan province, 19 militants were killed and 15 wounded after warplanes targeted Taliban positions in Murgab and Hasan Tabin villages on the outskirts of the provincial capital Shiberghan, Xinhua news agency quoted the ministry as saying.
According to the ministry, 14 Taliban militants were killed and two others were injured in an air force attack on the outskirts of Lashkar Gah, the capital of Helmand province.
It said that three vehicles, six motorcycles, two bunkers and a large quantity of arms and ammunition were also destroyed. While US and NATO troops are leaving Asian countries and violence is increasing.
