Amethi. Four members of a family were killed and six others were injured in a violent clash over a land dispute in Amethi late Tuesday evening. The incident is of Rajapur Gungwach village of Amethi Kotwali police station area.
A battalion of Provincial Armed Forces (PAC) and additional police have been deployed to keep the situation under control.
According to Circle Officer Arpit Kapoor, there was a fierce clash between the families of Ram Dulare and Sankat Prasad Yadav over land.
Ram Dulare had removed construction material on a piece of disputed land which triggered the conflict.
Those who were lynched in the incident include 65-year-old Sankat Prasad Yadav, his 64-year-old wife Parvati Yadav and their two sons Amresh (42) and Hanuman Prasad (45), the official said.
The CO said that an FIR is being registered while the injured have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
Police said that Amresh Yadav has also been a former head.
