After receiving the emails threatening to blow up the airports, panic prevailed at all the airports. Official sources said that 41 airports across the country received emails threatening to blow up the airports on Tuesday. Email sent to all airports in the afternoon
It is being told that the email ID from which the messages were received at all these 41 airports was created with the name ‘exhumedyou888@gmail.com’. All these airports received the emails at around 12.40 pm. Sources said that the airports took contingency measures after the recommendations of the concerned bomb threat assessment committee. After this, the security agencies also carried out an intensive investigation campaign and the airports were thoroughly checked.
Suspicion on gang sending threatening emails to schools
Apart from this, an online group named ‘KNR’ is also suspected to be behind these fake threatening emails. Sources said that this group had allegedly issued similar emails to many schools in Delhi-NCR on May 1. Almost the same message was typed in the email received by the airports. This message read “Hello, explosives are hidden in the airport. The bombs will explode soon. You all will die.” Sources said that all the airports termed this threat as a rumour and passenger movement was kept uninterrupted to the best of ability. (input language)
