Palamu In the Panki police station area under Palamu district of Jharkhand, police have recovered Rs 46 lakh from an unclaimed SUV. The recovered vehicle is being reported from Chhattisgarh, whose registration number is CG 14B-5999.
Palamu’s SP Rishma Ramshan received information late on Tuesday night that the red colored Mahindra Zileo train was going from Daltonganj towards Panki. He entrusted the investigation to Panki police station in -charge Rajesh Ranjan.
The police station in -charge started the campaign by launching a siege in the area with his team. During this time, the train was found parked on the road near Baliyari Mor in village Tetrai. After interrogating the people around, it was found that the car was standing there for a long time, but no one appeared around it. The doors of the car were lock.
After this, the police took the vehicle to the police station. On Wednesday, in the presence of Panki’s Circle Inspector, the lock of the car was broken and intense. During the search, a bag was found under the middle seat of the car, in which plastic packets were placed with notes.
Videography and photography of the entire process were done. Counting a note counting machine was done from Panki’s CSP office. The total recovered amount has been stated to be 46 lakh 19 thousand 900 rupees. Insurance and RC card of the vehicle were also recovered from the front triplet of the vehicle. The police have seized both the cash and the car. At present, further investigation of the case is going on.
Police say that in the investigation, efforts are being made to find out for what purpose the cash was being brought. It is feared that this amount may be of Naxalites or criminals.
