4th Covid wave in India: The third wave of the corona pandemic is almost over. All restrictions related to Corona have been lifted. People have also become careless. The crowd has increased in the market, but few people are seen wearing masks. Meanwhile, IIT Kanpur has issued a big alert. A recent study conducted by a team of scientists from IIT Kanpur shows that the fourth wave of corona in India in mid-June (4th Covid wave in India) is likely to come. Scientists also say that the fourth wave can continue in the country for four months. However, it is not yet clear how deadly the fourth wave will be. It is believed that it will be as weak as the third wave. The good thing is that now children are being vaccinated in the country too.
Sabra Prasad Rajeshbhai, Subhra Shankar Dhar and Shalabh of Mathematics Department of IIT Kanpur have issued this alert for India based on data from Zimbabwe. The study is published as a pre-print in MedRxiv. However, it is yet to be reviewed.
No lab in Wuhan, fear of spreading corona from meat market
There is a possibility of corona virus spreading from the meat market there, not Wuhan lab in China. This has been claimed in two latest studies by American scientists. These studies have not yet been peer reviewed by scientists. The study suggested that the SARS-CoV-2 virus may have been transmitted from live mammalian animals sold at the Hunana Wholesale Meat Market in Wuhan. The study team also included scientists from the University of Arizona.
According to the report of the New York Times, scientists have feared that the virus may have spread twice among the shopkeepers or buyers of the market. He also says that he did not find any evidence of the spread of corona virus from Wuhan’s laboratory. Michael Vorobey, a co-author of both studies and biologist at the University of Arizona, said after looking at all the evidence, it is clear that the epidemic originated from the Hunan meat market. The first case of corona virus was reported in China at the end of 2019.
