Jitendra Mohan/Pathankot: In this era where people do not hesitate to make their elderly parents homeless, today we are going to show you the story of a woman who donated her house worth crores of rupees to helpless animals. We are talking about a woman named Sonia who lives in Pathankot. Sonia told that when everything was closed during Corona, she thought of arranging food for these helpless animals.
She said, “When she went to arrange food for these helpless animals, she saw that many dogs were meeting with accidents on the roadside, so she started bringing the injured dogs home.” Sonia told that initially she started keeping about five helpless dogs at home, but today the number of these helpless dogs has reached about 500, which she keeps at her home.
Sonia said that she had built this house with great dreams, but today this house is being used to serve dogs. She said that food for about 1300 animals is prepared daily in this house. Sonia said that not only for dogs kept in homes, but food for animals in many areas of the city is now being arranged through the organization formed by her.
Sonia said that by serving these helpless animals, she feels as if she is serving God. She said, “This was not an easy task and she had to face many difficulties. People opposed me and even quarreled with me, but I did not stop serving the mute creatures and now many other youths are also engaged in this service with me and they feel very good doing this work.”
