Kanpur . The Uttar Pradesh government has attached assets worth Rs 67 crore of slain gangster Vikas Dubey and his relatives.
The orders for attachment of these properties have been issued by the District Magistrate’s court.
The attached 13 immovable and 10 movable properties are in the name of Vikas Dubey’s wife Richa Dubey, his mother Sarla Dubey and two sons Akash and Sanu.
The properties are located in Bikru village, Chaubepur, Kanpur Dehat and Lucknow.
Vikas Dubey and his accomplices had killed eight police personnel on July 3, 2020, when the policemen had allegedly gone to arrest them in a case.
Vikas Dubey was arrested from Madhya Pradesh and later killed in an encounter and five of his associates had a similar fate.
The district administration had started a bulldozer at Dubey’s house in Bikru village.
According to the police, a senior-level officer had recently started valuation and marking of all movable and immovable properties of all the accused in the Bikru case, including gangster Vikas Dubey, from the Public Works Department (PWD).
In this episode, his cashier Jayakant Bajpayee’s movable and immovable assets worth Rs 2.97 crore have already been attached.
After this, the police raided two vehicles of Dubey, two tractor-trolleys, ancestral house in Bikru village, 12 bighas of land in the village, 13 bighas of land in Sakarwan and houses and shops in Shivli.
