Sources in the central government say that an announcement to increase DA can be made in the month of July. According to the inflation data available, the DA of government employees will increase by at least four percent. According to market experts, the index is more or less depending on the inflation. The index had risen 125.1 in January. The index has jumped 125.0 in February, 126.0 in March and 127.7 in April. The AICPI Index numbers for April 2022 have registered a huge jump of 1.7 points. The May report has not come yet. In June also the index can take a jump. Even if the rate of 127.7 is considered as the basis for the next two months, the DA will increase by four percent. In such a situation, DA will increase at the rate of 38 per cent.
Calculation of salary after growth
If the basic salary of an employee is Rs 18,000, then at the rate of 38 per cent of DA, his salary will increase by Rs 720. If the basic salary of the employee is 25 thousand rupees, then it will increase by 1000 rupees per month. The employees drawing basic salary of Rs 35,000 will get Rs 1400 more per month. Rs 1800 will increase on basic salary of Rs 45,000. Rs 2080 on basic salary of Rs 52 thousand, Rs 2800 on basic salary of Rs 70 thousand, Rs 3420 on basic salary of Rs 85,500 and Rs 4000 more every month in the account of workers with basic salary of Rs 1 lakh. The Central Government had earlier increased the Dearness Allowance/Dearness Relief to its employees and pensioners from 17 per cent to 28 per cent last year. In October also, the DA was increased by three per cent. This made the DA 31 per cent. This year also, DA has been increased by three per cent from January. With this the DA/DR has gone up to 34 per cent.
