The episode is related to the shrine of the city Kotwali area. The incident took place at two o’clock in the night. According to the complaint made to the police, two unidentified people riding on four bikes have been seen in the CCTV near the shrine. It is alleged that the bike riders kept the holy book in bad condition on the steps of the shrine located in the square of the city. A poster has also been found with the objectionable item. on which abusive words are written. The police was informed in this regard by the secretary of the shrine. Before the investigation could begin, another similar incident also came to light from Kashmiri Mohalla and Ghosiana of the city. When the mischievous elements did more or less the same thing at the gate of the shrine located in Kashmiri Mohalla, then a derogatory paper was found in Ghosiana.
People got angry and gathered due to indecent remarks, abusive papers and indecent acts with the holy book. However, on the information of the case, the police became alert and investigation started. Divisional Commissioner Navdeep Rinwa, Divisional Inspector General of Police Kavinder Pratap Singh, District Magistrate Nitish Kumar and Senior Superintendent of Police Shailesh Kumar Pandey visited the city. He said that the investigation of the accused has been started by forming a team. CCTV footage is being checked. He said that no one would be allowed to disturb the harmony of the district under any circumstances. District Magistrate Kumar said that peace and order was maintained in the district. He has appealed to the general public to inform on getting information about any undesirable elements. SSP Pandey said that gangster and NSA action will be taken against the accused.
