A member of the family of a person who lost his life in anti -Sikh riots in 1984 will get a government job: Naib Singh Saini

Chandigarh During the 1984 anti -Sikh riots by the Haryana government, all the 121 families of the state who lost their lives will be provided jobs on a priority basis to a member of their family.

Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini made this announcement during the ongoing monsoon session in Haryana Assembly today.

He apprised the House that about 20 gurdwaras, 221 houses, 154 shops, 57 factories, 3 railDibs and 85 vehicles were burnt in the anti -Sikh riots in 1984. In these riots, 58 people were injured and 121 people died.

He requested the victim families to send the name of a member of the family to the Chief Secretary, Haryana Government through the Deputy Commissioner of his district. He said that instructions in this regard will be issued by the government soon.
