Lucknow. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will now contest the civic polls in Uttar Pradesh to be held later this year.
The party is also gearing up for changes in the organizational structure.
AAP’s state in-charge Sanjay Singh has asked party workers to start preparations for the upcoming UP civic polls.
Singh has emphasized on expanding the reach of the party across the state.
He told reporters that AAP has emerged as an alternative to other national parties and the party will continue its efforts to establish itself in UP as well.
Recently, the Aam Aadmi Party has taken power in Punjab by storm, giving a blow to all the main political parties there. In the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, however, all its candidates forfeited their deposits.
