District Immunization Officer Dr. DK Soni informed that in the first round, about 75 thousand children have been given doses.
Under the Pulse Polio campaign, a target has been set to provide polio medicine to one lakh 7 thousand children in the age group of 0 to 5 years in the district. For this one thousand 78 parties were formed. Children who for some reason cannot receive polio doses on Sundays at immunization centres. They will be given medicines by the vaccination team by going door-to-door on February 28 and March 2.
Even in Basai, young people drank two drops of life
In Basai, district member Vimla Tiwari started the campaign by reaching Haat Bazar of Bardhuwan village on Sunday by drinking two drops of life. District member Vimla Tiwari administered polio dose to children of 0 to 5 years of age today. On this occasion, he said that for protection from polio, everyone should participate in this campaign and give two drops of polio to the children of the prescribed age as a dose of life. So that the life of the children becomes happy. This campaign is to run from 27 February to 2 March.
Campaign also started in Bhander
Under the three-day polio eradication campaign in Bhander from February 27 to March 2, children of 0-5 years were administered polio medicine to prevent polio in Bhander block on Sunday. BMO Bhander Dr.RS Parihar informed that for this a total of 190 teams were formed in Bhander block comprising both urban and rural. Each team was two members in which a supervisor was posted to supervise 10 teams. On Sunday, the children were given medicine by the teams at a special place. Door-to-door polio doses will be given to the children left out on Monday and Tuesday.
