Alert after the communal violence that took place in Jahangirpuri on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti on April 16, Delhi Police has foiled a conspiracy to incite communal violence in Khajuri Khas area of the capital. Taking immediate action on the information received from the citizens, the police arrested 3 accused and sent them to jail. The names of these accused are Zeeshan, Aman and Sameer. Khajuri Khas area is considered very sensitive. There were riots here in 2020. This is the reason why the police are always in action against the communal elements. On getting information from the common citizens, the police took immediate action and saved this area of the capital from burning in the fire of riots.
According to a Delhi Police spokesperson, on April 24, the Police Control Room got information that some people of a community in Khajuri Khas are talking about beatings and a crowd is gathering here. The person who informed the police called himself a policeman and sought help. Immediately on this the police team reached the spot. A person named Sonu Kumar, who was present at the place of incident, told the police that he was roaming in the street of the area with his friend. Then at around 10.30 pm, he saw that the accused were standing in that street and were continuously threatening people by talking about Delhi riots. The trio also beat up Sonu and his friend. Apart from this, called some other friends.
According to a police spokesperson, the team immediately dispersed the crowd gathered at the spot. After investigation Zeeshan, Aman and Sameer were nabbed. Police have registered a case against all three under serious sections. Police patrolling has also been intensified to maintain peace in the area. Action has been taken against many more people under the law. At present, the situation is normal here and people are praising the police.
