Lucknow. The arrest of the accused of the riots that took place after the Friday prayers on June 10 in different cities of UP is going on fast. On the instructions of CM Yogi Adityanath, the UP Police is evacuating the rioters from their hiding places. Posters of rioters have been put up in Kanpur and Prayagraj. Based on information from local informers, CCTV footage and common people, the police are continuously wreaking havoc on the rioters and rioters. Till now, the illegal properties of many rioters, including the house of Javed Pump, the main accused of Prayagraj violence, have also been demolished by bulldozers.
According to the latest information given by the UP Police, so far 357 rioters have been arrested in 13 cases in the state. So far 97 in Prayagraj, 85 in Saharanpur, 55 in Hathras, 41 in Ambedkarnagar, 40 in Moradabad, 20 in Firozabad, 8 in Lakhimpur Kheri, 6 in Aligarh and 5 in Jalaun. Cases have been registered against hundreds of people everywhere and the UP Police is trying to find each and every rioter and send them to jail. The police had started the process of arrest from June 10 itself. Many minors are also among the rioters. They have been kept in the Children’s Improvement Home.
Let us inform that earlier there was fierce violence in Kanpur on June 3. The main accused of this violence have also been caught by the police. Bulldozers have also run on the illegal properties of three accused. CM Yogi has told the police that no innocent should be persecuted, but the rioters and miscreants should be given such strict punishment so that no one thinks of doing such work in future. In such a situation, the police is taking action against all the accused under the Gangster Act and the National Security Act (NSA).
